  1. How do I rent a lens.
    Once you have registered with Lens Library, check the availability of the Lens in the calendar published on the website and send me an e-mail to reserve it. You will get a confirmation e-mail once the lens is blocked for you.
  2. How do I pick up and return the lens.
    The lens can be picked up the previous night and has to be returned on the last day of the rental. It has to be picked up from and returned to my place. Details of the address and route map will be sent to you by e-mail.
  3. Where is Lens Library service available.
    Lens Library is currently available only in Bangalore. We hope to extend our services to other cities in future.
  4. What is the mode of payment.
    Payment can be made is cash, cheque (in the name of ELEPHAS CREATIONS) or wire transfer. Full payment has to be made before renting the lens.
  5. Do I have to make any deposit to rent the lens.
    Not at this time. However, Lens Library reserves the right to ask for a deposit on a case by case basis.
  6. What if the lens is lost/stolen or physically damaged beyond repair during the rental period.>
    All the equipments are insured against theft and damage. They are also covered under the manufacturers warranty. However, Lens Library will work on a case by case basis to arrive at the best possible solution to address these kind of issues.
  7. Can I extend my rental.
    As long as that lens is not reserved by any other customer beyond your rental period, we would be happy to extend your rental. Even though it's an extension, it will be considered as a new booking and rates will be applicable accordingly.
  8. Is the equipment in good condition.
    All lens are bought new with bill and warranty. We check each lens visually, test it for focus and sharpness, and take pictures with it before it is rented to you. We guarantee the glass is clear, the lens works normally, the pictures it takes are sharp. If there is any effect on image quality the lens goes off for servicing, otherwise it remains in service.

Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Lens Library, you understand and agree to enter into the following lease terms with Elephas Creations Lens Library :

  1. Registration – You need to register with Lens Library before proceeding to rent the lens. You will be asked to fill out a registration form (will be sent via e-mail) and a customer id will be provided to you using which you can start renting the lens. This is a one time effort. Please contact me to register with Lens Library. Registration is free of cost.
  2. Disclaimer – Every effort is made to assure descriptions and prices are correct. Lens Library reserves the right to correct errors as needed. All prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
  3. Rental period is for the duration of calendar days as agreed between the renter and Lens Library. The equipment must be returned to us on the last day of the rental.
  4. Late returns are charged an additional 2-day rental fee.
  5. Damage or Loss of the equipment during the rental period is entirely the renter’s responsibility. If the renter has not notified Lens Library of damage within 1 hour of receiving the equipment, both parties agree the equipment was received in good working order.
  6. Liability – Lens Library does not assume, and the customer indemnifies Lens Library against, any liability or claims resulting from use or malfunction of the equipment. The customer assumes all liability that may arise from use or failure of the equipment.
  7. Ownership – The equipment remains at all times the sole and exclusive property of Lens Library. The renter has no rights or claims to the equipment. Lens Library does not have or make any claim to images made by the renter while using said equipment.
  8. Rental Rights – Lens Library reserves the right to deny rental of equipment. Rental will be at the sole discretion of Lens Library.
